“I have been doing pottery off and on for 5 years when I met Josh Gold and started taking lessons with him. After 3 months, my work took a quantum leap forward. Enough so, that I was able to start selling my work to a number of galleries around ashevile nc where I live. His attention to the details of technique, and his ability to convey them to me so quickly is amazing. The whole clay process is much more enjoyable with my new skills.”

“Josh Gold came to Iowa Wesleyan College to teach a one month long workshop. I had taken Ceramics I already, but my pots were still at the beginning level. After taking his class, then practicing for the rest of the year, my work was greatly improved. The following year, I was able to go to Josh’s studio in Vermont to do my required month long internship. With the strength of this body of work, I was accepted to the graduate ceramics program at the University of Iowa the following summer.”
